We would like to inform you of a valuable new tool to help your students vote absentee in the upcoming election. Founded by college students frustrated with the lack of easy-to-use information on absentee voting, GoVoteAbsentee was created with the particular needs of young voters in mind. Excitement for the 2008 election is unprecedented, and the use of new technology will be particularly important for young voters. The founders, students at Emerson College, University of Wisconsin- Milwaukee, and Brown University, became frustrated in 2006 when their friends did not vote—not because they didn’t care— but because the process was too confusing and there was no one to guide them through it. This year, anyone who wants to will have their voice heard.

This group of college students have created a website that makes the process of requesting an absentee ballot as easy as possible. All your students have to do is visit GoVoteAbsentee.org and enter their zip code. Once they do, they will get all the forms needed, step-by-step directions to quickly fill them out, and up to date instructions on how to make sure their ballot gets to the right place.

We would appreciate your help in forwarding the following information to any students or student groups at your College/University.
